The hair analysis in the entrance test for correctional officers typically involves collecting a hair sample from the candidate, usually from the head or another body part if head hair is not available. This sample is then analyzed to detect the presence of drugs or other substances. The purpose of this test is to ensure that candidates are not using illegal substances, as correctional officers are expected to maintain a high level of integrity and be free from drug use. The hair analysis provides a longer detection window compared to other drug testing methods, making it a valuable tool in screening potential correctional officers. **
